SnapPrice — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how the SnapPrice Chrome extension (“SnapPrice”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you use the extension.
Summary
- We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
- All captured information (product title, GBP price, and the optional cropped proof image) is processed and stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB).
- We do not run analytics, use tracking pixels, or send data to external servers.
- You can delete all locally stored data at any time.
Scope
This policy applies to the SnapPrice Chrome extension listed on the Chrome Web Store. It does not cover any third‑party websites you visit (e.g., Back Market UK or StockX). Those sites’ privacy policies apply to their services.
Data We Process (Locally on Your Device)
SnapPrice processes the following on your device only, in order to provide the extension’s single purpose (manual price tracking):
- Parsed page values: product title, price in GBP, optional price label (e.g., “Last Sale”, “Lowest Ask”).
- Cropped proof image: a small screenshot of the page region containing the title and price, to help you visually verify a capture.
- Price history records: the captured values and timestamps for your own tracking.
- Optional CSV export: if you choose to export, the CSV file is generated in your browser and downloaded to your computer.
SnapPrice does not collect names, emails, payment details, or account identifiers, and does not transmit any captured values to external servers.
How We Collect and Use Data
SnapPrice acts only when you click to capture on a supported product page. We read the page’s visible DOM to parse the title and price and generate the optional cropped proof image. This information is used solely to:
- Save your manual price captures,
